CVS Launches “HERe, Healthier Happens Together” Campaign Focused on Women’s Health
CVS Health® has launched a Here for women. initiative, “providing easier access to services and products that help support women’s mental and physical well-being. Here, healthier happens together.” This campaign focuses on breaking barriers on women’s health products including period care, hygiene products, pharmacy services, beauty and other health-related services and products.
Relating to period products, CVS Health’s Here for women. notes the following:
FOR PERIOD PRODUCT TAX: Effective October 5, 2022, CVS will pay applicable sales tax on period products on our customers’ behalf in Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia. In certain states, organizations cannot pay taxes on behalf of customers. Exclusions apply. States are subject to change.
FOR PERIOD PRODUCT PRICE REDUCTION: Qualifying period products include CVS Health® and Live Better™ by CVS Health brand tampons, menstrual pads, liners and cups at core CVS Pharmacy® locations. 25% reduction from regular retail price (does not reflect promotions or sales), effective dates on or before October 13, 2022. We’re paying the tax on period products on behalf of our customers where and when possible, and are working to help eliminate the tax nationwide.1 We’ve also reduced the price of CVS Health brand period products by 25%2 in our core CVS Pharmacy® locations to help improve access to quality period care.
